- An ASHI Certified Member, Bob has obtained the highest of three levels of ASHI Membership. ASHI is the most well known and respected home inspector association in the United States, and was established in 1976. Many inspectors claim to inspect to the ASHI standard, because it's the recognized standard in the home inspection industry, but few are actually Certified Members. You can be assured that Bob will do all that he can for his customers because he maintains his ASHI position as a Certified Member in good standing.

More about ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors). In order to qualify for the highest level in ASHI an inspector must perform at least 250 fee-based inspections, pass a written test home inspection test, and have their report system approved for compliance. ASHI also requires continuing education requirements and require the inspector to perform their inspections according to nationally recognized standards of practice and code of ethics, in order to maintain their certification.
